Psychological therapy

Standard ongoing therapy takes place on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The standard therapy waiting list is currently closed, and I am not adding new clients to it. Tuesday late-evening enquiries remain open as a separate appointment option.

An initial therapy assessment lasts one hour. Ongoing appointments usually last 50–60 minutes and are generally weekly, particularly initially.

Ongoing therapy is primarily in person in Drogheda. Initial assessments may be in person or online, with occasional online therapy sessions arranged where appropriate after a working relationship has been established.

Tuesday late-evening appointments

Enquiries remain open for a limited number of in-person Tuesday appointments at 6:30pm and 7:40pm, at €150 per session, from 3 November to 15 December 2026.

These appointments may suit you if work or other commitments make standard clinic times difficult. Contact me to discuss suitability, current availability and arrangements beyond this period.

Initial therapy assessment deposit

A €50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure an initial assessment appointment. This is deducted from the total session fee.

For adolescent therapy, the first assessment appointment is with parent(s) or guardian(s) alone. Read about the adolescent pathway.

Adult autism screening and assessment

If you progress after screening, the remaining assessment fee is €1,600. Please enquire about current appointment availability and booking arrangements.

Additional assessment appointments or work

Before booking, we agree the appointments and work included in your assessment fee. If further sessions or work outside that agreed plan are recommended, an additional fee may apply. I will explain the reason, discuss the options and agree the duration and any additional cost with you before booking or starting that work. Work already included in your assessment fee is not charged again. Existing agreed fees remain unchanged.

Therapy cancellations and rescheduling

Requests to reschedule are subject to the same cancellation terms. The separate €50 initial assessment booking deposit is non-refundable.

Letters and additional professional work

Separately requested letters, forms, additional reports and substantive professional correspondence are charged at €110 per hour pro rata, based on the time involved. For example, 15 minutes costs €27.50 and 30 minutes costs €55. I will agree the scope and estimated cost with you before starting.

This applies to new requests; existing agreed quotes are honoured. Routine appointment arrangements are not charged under this rate. The written screening report and the report and feedback included in a comprehensive autism assessment are covered by their respective fees.
